Simple and effective disinfection of irrigation water
Water disinfection in horticulture has been developed for both pre-treatment and post-treatment of rainwater, surface water and drain water.?This provides you with savings in water, fertilisers and energy. The system uses high-pressure UV-disinfection.
The Priva Vialux HP/UV lets you disinfect both large and small quantities of water using UV light. A unique property of the Priva Vialux is that it can render moulds, bacteria, eelworms and viruses inactive; even specific viruses such as the Pepino mosaic virus. These micro-organisms die because the system alters their DNA.
You can choose selective or total HP/UV disinfection. You can set different doses depending on the crop and the types of pathogen.
Because the system is fully-automated and protected, water disinfection using the Vialux is reliable and controlled. The temperature of the water remains virtually unchanged during the process, and the composition of the nutrients and pH level are untouched. The Priva Vialux HP/UV is the only UV-disinfector where the effectiveness has been proven by Wageningen UR.
The Priva Vialux provides growers with a complete solution for water disinfection; for the pre-treatment of rainwater and surface water to the post-treatment of drain water. The Vialux is available in a number of basic versions with increasing levels of lamp power and capacities. The design of the Vialux is very simple with a single exposure chamber, one UV lamp and one UV-C measurement; this means minimum maintenance of the system.
HP/UV oxidation module
You can add the HP/UV oxidation module to the Priva Vialux HP/UV disinfection unit. High pressure UV-disinfection and hydrogen peroxide reinforce each other during the disinfection process. The oxidising action of hydrogen peroxide eliminates growth inhibitors and crop protection agents in the drain water, basin water or surface water. Results:
